UX UI Goodies
A Shopify store of apparel and desk goods for designers, where every product is an inside joke.

The idea
Designers already own plenty of merch. UX UI Goodies sells the jokes they’d wear to a critique. My favorite is the Hamburger Menu Tee: the three-line menu icon drawn as an actual hamburger, captioned with its accessible name. The store has to be as clear as the jokes are niche.

Finding things
Seven menus open into columns of collections, and every column title opens its own collection. Collection pages are one grid with a filter drawer and sorting. Every card can add to the bag in place, with color and size picked on the card.

The product page
Price, options, delivery dates and the free shipping threshold sit in one panel. The delivery estimate follows the same business-day rule as checkout, so the date on the product page is the date at checkout.

After the first order
Pixels, the store’s loyalty program, turns points into store credit automatically through Shopify Flow, with no codes to copy. Referrals, digital downloads, gift cards and seven email automations, from welcome to win-back, are built in.

The build
The catalog is code. Every product, price, design and help page lives in one source, and scripts sync it to Shopify. Even the artwork is code: the designs are drawn by scripts. Checks catch off-brand copy and test free shipping carts against their costs.
My role
UX UI Goodies is my own store. I named it, wrote the jokes, designed the products and the theme, and built the catalog tooling, directing AI-assisted development throughout.
