Terms
The agreement for using this site and buying a service from UX Growth Lab.

Who you’re dealing with
These terms are an agreement between you and Vinney Dawson, a sole proprietor in California who does business as UX Growth Lab. Email vinney@uxgrowthlab.com with any question, or for a mailing address. The mailing address is also printed on the payment page, before you pay.
About this site
Browsing this site does not create a client relationship. Its content is general information, not advice for a particular store. Scope and acceptance criteria are confirmed in writing for each engagement.
Case studies
Case studies describe the stated contribution and current status of each project. Employer work is shown without the brand name and without confidential figures. No result is claimed unless it is stated.
Purchases
Each service covers the scope on its service page, at the price shown when you buy. Projects up to $3,500 are paid at checkout. Store builds and the UI system are quoted in writing after a scoping call, and half is paid to book the start date. The other half is due at launch for a store build, or 30 days after the agreed launch date if the delay is on the client’s side, and on delivery for the UI system. Work starts on the date agreed at the kickoff call.
Monthly plans
A monthly plan renews automatically each month at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel. Cancel online at any time before the next billing date, through the billing link in your order email, or by replying to that email. Canceling stops the next charge, and the plan runs to the end of the month already paid. A month already paid isn’t refunded in part, apart from the first month when it isn’t a fit, and unused hours don’t roll over.
Refunds
If either party decides at the kickoff call that it isn’t a fit, the client gets a full refund before any work starts. If a project or store build ends after work starts, payment for work already done is kept and payment for anything not yet started is refunded. Monthly plans follow the section above.
Read the refund policyOwnership
Once a project, or a month of a plan, is paid in full, the client owns the designs and code made for their store and can use, change and keep them. Third-party themes, apps, fonts, images and other licensed materials stay under their own licenses, which the client holds. UX Growth Lab keeps its own tools, templates and know-how. Finished work may be shown in UX Growth Lab’s portfolio after launch, without confidential figures, unless the client asks otherwise.
Third-party names
Shopify and other product names, and the song titles, artist names and album art shown in project screenshots, belong to their owners. They appear only to describe the tools used or the work shown, not a partnership or endorsement.
No promised results
Work is done with reasonable skill and care, to the scope and acceptance criteria agreed in writing. No specific revenue, conversion or ranking result is promised.
Limits of liability
To the extent the law allows, UX Growth Lab’s total liability for any claim about a service is limited to the amount paid for that service, and neither party is liable to the other for lost profits or indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn’t allow to be limited.
Disputes
If something goes wrong, email first; most problems are fixed fastest that way. These terms are governed by California law, and any dispute that can’t be resolved directly goes to the courts in Los Angeles County, California.
Changes to these terms
When these terms change, the date at the top changes too. A purchase follows the terms in place on the day it was made.
