Brasslines
A sheet-music store built like a tool for working horn players.

The problem
Working horn players usually know the song before they land on the page. They need the right part, confidence that the chart is professional, and the PDF in hand before rehearsal. Most sheet-music sites are built like marketplaces: banners, discounts, endless grids. The musician has to dig.

The approach
Speed over discovery. Search and instrument filters come first. Every chart page leads with the exact part you’re buying, and on a phone the part, price, and add-to-cart stay in reach. The account side works like a practice library, with favorites, setlists, recently opened charts, and requests for songs not yet in the catalog.

The build
A headless storefront on Shopify Hydrogen and Oxygen. Shopify stays the source of truth for products, checkout, customers, and subscriptions, so the custom layer only does what a theme can’t. Layouts were tested across phone, tablet, and desktop, with accessibility checks and browser tests on every candidate build.

My role
Brasslines is my own business. I owned the product decisions, the design system, and the build, directing AI-assisted development and reviewing every change.
Where it stands
In private prelaunch while catalog files and fulfillment are finalized. There are no sales results to report yet. What it shows is the full path from a customer problem to a working, tested Shopify storefront.
Need a storefront like this?
A headless storefront starts at $12,000 and a theme build at $6,000, each quoted after a short call. 50% to book the start date, 50% at launch.
